The Mekong Delta is a land of winding canals and shady water-coconut groves — a world of rivers all its own, long a draw for travellers from the Middle East and Southeast Asia.

Day 1 — Saigon

Trip gallery

A morning around District 1, visiting the Independence Palace, with a stop at the Jamia Al-Musulman Mosque for prayers. In the evening, you enjoy Halal-certified beef pho at The Daun restaurant or satay platters with Nonya flavours, then explore Ben Thanh night market — a good place for handicrafts and silk.

Days 2–3 — The orchards of Tien Giang and Ben Tre

The group leaves the coach behind for small sampans, gliding through water-coconut forests with local boatwomen in traditional áo bà ba. You pick ripe rambutan straight from the branch, taste fresh melaleuca honey, and have lunch with crispy elephant-ear fish wrapped in rice paper and herbs — a light delta dish prepared to suit Muslim guests.

Day 4 — Back to Saigon

After days steeped in the rhythm of the orchards, the group returns to the city to depart. A short trip, but one that brings a simple, grounding balance very much of the river country.
