Much of Vietnam's Islamic community traces its roots to the Cham people living along the south-central coast. This five-day journey through Mui Ne, Binh Thuan and Ninh Thuan is more than sightseeing — it is a meaningful return to those roots.
Days 1–2 — Cham Muslim villages
From the south, the group travels up to Binh Thuan to visit the Cham villages. You see ancient tombs and the Po Shanu towers, and join a community gathering at a local mosque (of the Bani and Islam communities). Here, authentic Halal meals prepared by the hands of local Muslim brothers and sisters carry a special sense of familiarity.
Days 3–4 — The Mui Ne dunes
Mui Ne greets you with sunrise over the sea and the rolling White and Red Sand dunes. You can ride a Jeep or ATV across the dunes — an experience that is both novel and exhilarating. To finish, try the sweet red-fleshed dragon fruit, a speciality of this sun-and-wind land.
Day 5 — Back to Saigon
Bringing together the spiritual life of the local Cham and the vast dunes reminiscent of the Middle East, these five days are a fine glimpse of the cultural meeting that Travelus is glad to share with Muslim travellers everywhere.
