Just stepped off a long flight to Ho Chi Minh City, with only four days and no wish to take another domestic flight? Vung Tau is the simple answer — blue sea just over two hours away by road.
Days 1–2 — Vung Tau beach
A limousine takes you out of District 1's skyscrapers, along the highway straight to the sea. At Back Beach or along the Long Hai coast, the pace slows to the sound of the waves and a hillside road lined with bougainvillea. You dine at a harbour-facing restaurant on fresh grilled squid and shrimp, prepared without alcohol or additives. By day, the Ho May cable car carries the group to the hilltop for a panoramic view of the crescent-shaped coastal city.
Days 3–4 — Back to Saigon
The group returns to the city and strolls the Malaysian shopping district opposite the west gate of Ben Thanh Market. The last evening closes with a relaxed walk along the Nguyen Hue pedestrian street, cold drink in hand — a gentle ending before the flight home.
