Two weeks is enough time to travel the full length of the country — from the northern highlands to the southern rivers. This is one of Travelus's most complete journeys, ideal for a first visit to Vietnam.

After a few days in Hanoi, the group heads up to the mountains of Sapa, stopping at Ta Van village to see the mist over the terraced fields and to meet the H'Mong and Dao communities. Next comes Halong Bay, with its thousand-year-old limestone karsts and a night aboard a cruise.

Days 6–10 — Hue & Hoi An

The old capital of Hue takes you back to the Nguyen dynasty, with its quiet palaces and royal tombs. Crossing the Hai Van Pass, the group reaches Hoi An — an old town of golden-brown wooden houses and peaceful coconut groves.

Days 11–14 — Saigon & Cai Rang floating market

Trip gallery

Saigon has a very different pace, energetic and modern, alongside the historic Cu Chi tunnels. The highlight of the final leg is the Cai Rang floating market in Can Tho, where you sit in a boat amid the bustle of trading on the river before saying goodbye to Vietnam.

Fourteen days spanning every climate, from the cool of Sapa to the southern warmth.
